Fishing from kayaks and canoes is an ancient practice. Since pre-historic times, man has ventured out to fish in waters from the ice caps to the equator. Today's modern 'high tech' fishing gear, sophisticated electronics, computer designed boats and world wide web knowledge base give us an advantage vastly beyond anything our ancestors could have ever imagined. Although it may be said that sport fishing, especially kayak sport fishing, is only a small part of the entire industry's catch, each individual shares a responsibility to the future. Please help manage those resources and protect our rights to them so our children and their children's children will be able to enjoy them too.
